Ravi to play Krrish, Spiderman and Hanuman
What will you get when you cross the desi movie Hanuman with Spiderman? Well, Ravi Kishan wants to call the film Bajrangi. Ravi, along with Manoj Tiwari was dubbing for Spiderman’s Bhojpuri version when it struck him to make a local version of the superhero.
He then decided to make the movie on the lines of Spiderman. He seems super excited about the venture. He says, “While dubbing for Spiderman I felt that I should make something like it in my language. So I wrote a story of the ultimate super hero. The protagonist is a polio affected lad who is scorned by everyone and wants to end his life. He attempts to commit suicide at a Hanuman temple when his life changes suddenly. The protagonist will become like Hanuman. It’s a combination of three characters – Spiderman, Krrish and Hanuman. I will be acting as the hero”.
On the experience of lending his voice to Spiderman, he says, “It was mind blowing. It is such a great story! I feel good to be a part of it in any way”. Ravi has also provided slokas for the film which are supposed to cool down Spidey’s evil hunches!
So will Bajrangi explore the darker sides of the hero? “No. There aren’t any dark shades. It’s very Indian in character. The film will have a 500-feet Hanuman and lots of monkeys. We will use a lot of 3-D effects,” he adds. The shoot will start soon with plans to release the movie during Diwali.
